We finally have Dome Garden workshops. The first one is on Saturday, March 23 just north of Tuscaloosa. We will have a garden tour and workshop about working with geodesic domes for year-round gardening. Also a hands on fabrication training for those wishing to have their own dome greenhouse. Then on March 30 we will have a workshop at Walden Farmacy in Helena Alabama for building their new nursery dome.

Geodesic domes are lightweight structures made of interconnecting struts that form a half sphere. They disperse, weight and stress throughout their structure and can handle heavy loads despite their size. These structures resist heavy rain, snow loads, earthquakes, and heavy winds. They are great for greenhouses, trellises, and shelter. Join Daniel Halsey of United Designers and other dome enthusiasts as he demonstrates the process of cutting, pressing, and punching dome struts on the March 23rd and then assemble the dome at Walden Farmacy on the 30th (Saturday morning before Easter).
