Walden Farmacy and the Deep Roots School of Foraging & Herbal Medicine are teaming up for a weekend of plant walks, permaculture, plants, and family friendly fun!

Swing by to shop our plant sale and herbal medicines at any point on Sunday (for free!) or sign up for some exciting classes while you are making the drive out to the farm.

Order a lunch from our friends at Sorelle for a picnic lunch onsite! BYO blanket or picnic chairs.

We are thrilled to host our first mini-herb conference at the farm! Attend individual classes or join us for a full-day!

Full day:  $75

Sunday April 3
9:00-10:20am
Intro to permaculture/ Farm tour with Joanna and Trevor Mann  $25
At Walden Farms we engage in a type of regenerative farming known as permaculture in which we believe in the intelligence of natural systems and thus try to mimic the way in which ecosystems grow.  We see ourselves as the conductor, choosing which plants will come together to create the symphony of our land. In this tour we will show you how we have applied permaculture concepts within our farm system.

10:30-11:30am
Herb Walk with Cameron Strouss and Joanna Mann  $25

Joanna Mann and Cameron Strouss will share their expertise of common medicinal herb identification and uses as we walk around Walden Farms. We will be doing new herbs! This is not a repeat of Saturday’s class.

1:00-2:00pm
Tea Forage with Cameron Strouss  $25
An interactive foraging foray in which we formulate a personal tea for every participant as we wind our way around the property.

2:30-3:30pm
Intro to Forest Gardening with Trevor Mann  $25
Learn more about how to setup an edible/ medicinal permaculture style forest garden of your own!

Options for meals include:

Pork tenderloin sandwich:  Continental Bakery slider buns, chili fig aioli, baby spinach  $15.40
OR
Grilled Veggie Sandwich:  focaccia, hummus, portobello, zucchini, squash, and baby spinach $15.40
Either comes with a choice of a side:
Green salad – baby spinach, cucumber, green grape, goat cheese, currant, toasted almond, & basil green goddess
OR 
Fruit Salad – seasonal fruit with Honey and Lime
Gluten-free:
