We have reached summer’s peak! While May Day had an energy of moving towards climax, we have reached the light’s full glory at midsummer. The longest day has arrived, and from here on out the light will begin to wane. Yes, the atmosphere is joyous and celebrant, but there is a tinge of sadness and sobriety knowing we are moving into the waning of the year. Have we accomplished all we had hoped this spring? Have our projects and desires manifested? Are we ready to begin moving into the harvest season and gradually letting go?
Join us on Walden Farms as we ritually let go of what did not come to completion for us this year, and celebrate that which has. We will care for our bodies with oil infused with St.John’s, Calendula, and Red Clover as we celebrate the corn mother. We will cool ourselves with a beverage crafted from elderflower and lemon balm as we tap into the energies of the fairy queen Áine. Finally, we will utilize the uplifting medicine of mimosa to keep our spirits high as the light begins to wane.
